These terms apply to the SideQuest public website, planning estimator, inquiry form, and client portal when the portal is enabled. A separate signed proposal, statement of work, invoice, or service agreement controls an accepted client project.
Website purpose
This website describes freelance web-design and related digital services for small businesses. Business Website, Editable Business Website, and E-commerce Website packages are the primary public offerings. Custom app and software projects are considered individually and are not automatically accepted.
Availability and inquiries
Submitting an inquiry does not create a client relationship, reserve time, or require SideQuest to accept a project. Availability, fit, scope, responsibilities, schedule, and price must be confirmed in writing.
The website reports an inquiry as received only after its configured delivery process succeeds. If delivery fails, use the public email address shown on the Contact page.
Estimator and pricing
Estimator results are planning ranges, not quotes, offers, invoices, guarantees, or contracts. Final pricing may change after content, integrations, responsibilities, revisions, timing, and technical requirements are reviewed.
Website hosting plans, domains, registrar charges, payment-processing fees, shipping services, premium extensions, paid integrations, and other third-party costs are separate unless a written agreement says otherwise. Quote-only additions, including AI website features, do not increase the estimator total and must be priced separately.
Website hosting, domains, and third-party accounts
Editable Business Websites and E-commerce Websites use a third-party website platform and hosting provider. Website Management means SideQuest manages agreed setup and administration; it does not make SideQuest the underlying hosting provider.
Domain availability, ownership, registration details, renewals, provider terms, and fees are controlled by the website platform or selected registrar. Clients should retain appropriate ownership and access to accounts created for their business.
Client portal
When enabled for an authorized client, the portal may provide access to assigned project information, files, approvals, invoices, or recorded payment information. Portal access is personal to the authorized user and must not be shared or used to access another client's information.
Portal information is an operational convenience. A signed agreement, approved change, issued invoice, provider record, or direct written notice controls if information conflicts. Contact SideQuest promptly if an entry appears incorrect.
Optional payments and recurring Website Care
Online payment and recurring billing appear only when deliberately enabled. Stripe processes enabled payment forms and payment methods under its own terms. SideQuest does not receive complete card or bank-account details entered into Stripe-controlled fields.
Website Care subscriptions, when offered through the portal, are separate from project invoices. The selected plan, price, start date, cancellation timing, and included work are confirmed before purchase. A project agreement or invoice remains the source of truth for project balances and payment due dates.
Your submissions
You confirm that information and files you submit are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have permission to share them. Do not submit passwords, complete payment credentials, government ID numbers, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive data through the public inquiry form.
Acceptable use
You may not use this website or portal to:
- Break the law or violate another person's rights
- Probe, bypass, or interfere with security or access controls
- Upload malware or submit abusive or deceptive material
- Access information or accounts you are not authorized to use
- Overload, scrape, or disrupt the service
Intellectual property
SideQuest's name, logo, website design, text, and other original website materials are protected by applicable law. Project ownership and licenses are determined by the separate written project agreement.
External services
The website may link to or rely on website hosting platforms, domain registrars, Cloudflare, Zoom, and Stripe. Those providers control their own services, availability, accounts, pricing, terms, and privacy practices.
Accuracy and availability
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the website useful and accurate, but uninterrupted access, error-free operation, third-party availability, search placement, domain availability, or a particular business result cannot be guaranteed.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SideQuest is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this public website or a third-party service. Separate project agreements may contain terms specific to paid work.
Governing law
These website terms are governed by Wisconsin law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any required venue will be a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Wisconsin.
Changes
These terms may be updated by posting a revised version and changing the last-updated date. Continued use after an update means the revised website terms apply from their effective date.
